Ingrédients (serves 4):
- 8 ripe bananas peeled and halved
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 pinch powdered vanilla
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 4 tbsp rum
Directions:
Mix the sugar, butter and vanilla together, put this mixture in the slits of the bananas.
Put prepared bananas on a buttered baking sheet. Sprinkle 2 tbsp water and sugar on top.
Bake for 30 min on low heat. Pour the rum over the bananas and ignite, serve right away.

It's my favorite recipe but I think if you use a fry pan, you need only 10 min in low and covered (sorry for my English). What I do more is to use them in tatin pie (it's a pie turned over), it's really lovely, with a lovely french white wine.
