Ingredients (serves 4 people):
- 1 lb of split green peas
- 1 onion
- 1 bouquet garni (mixed herbs)
- salt and pepper
- 1 1/2 oz butter or 2 tablespoon of sour cream
Directions:
Wash the split peas, cover them with cold water, then cook them at middle heat with the onion, the bouquet garni and the seasoning for 1h30 (30 min in a pressure cooker).
Drain and mash them with a food mill.
Dry the mash peas on low heat and incorporate the diced butter or the cream.
Serve with meat, some grill sausages for example.
