Preparation: 15 min
Cooking: 50 min

Ingredients (serves 6 - 8 people):

- 2 cups of flour
- 1 cup of sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 liter of milk
- 1 teap of vanilla extract
- 10 oz of pitted prunes

Directions:

Mix all these ingredients, without the prunes, then pour the preparation in a pan.

Put it on the burner and stir it up continuously until this mixture thickens a little.

Butter or oil a baking dish, then pour half of the preparation in there.
Lay out the prunes, then pour the other half on top.

Oven cook at medium heat (350°F) for approximately 50 min.

Eat cold, of course, thus it keeps good.
Good appetite and Kenavo(dialect from Brittany)!

I loved this recipe when i was an au pair in France 22 years ago and still remember Moutis outside first thing in the morning picking up the prunes to make the cake that would be ready and warm when the children woke up. Yay! I can't believe ti took me this long to look it up! I will be making it tomorrow morning for my coworkers. In place of prunes (don't have any fresh right now), i will attemp the recipe with the fat huckleberries i picked last summer (because i can't wait). Joy joy:):):)
