Ingredients (serves 6 people):

- 1 cauliflower
- 4 - 6 potatoes (optional)
- 3 onions
- 1/2 liter of 2% milk or full fat
- 2 tbsps of cornflour
- 3/4 - cups of grated cheese
- salt, pepper, nutmeg


Directions:

Cut the cauliflower in little branches and wash it.

Cook it with the salted boiling water for 10 min, then drain it.

Peel the potatoes, cook them in boiling water for 15 min.
Drain, cut them in large discs.

Mince the onions very finely.

Brown them in a pan until they are translucent then start to brown a little.

In a bowl, water with a little cornflower with a little milk.

Pour in the remainder of the milk, cornflower and onions, on low heat, stir it with the whip to thicken the sauce.

Pepper and nutmeg at the end of cooking.

Lay out the cauliflower and the potato discs in a gratin dish.

Coat with a reduced bechamel sauce, sprinkle with grated cheese.

Heat in a preheated oven at 475°F, let it cook 10 mn, if need be a few minutes under the grill.
Very good if your on a diet!
