Ingredients (for 8 personnes) :
- 250 g honey (the better the honey, the better the gingerbread)
- 10 cl hot milk
- 100 g butter
- 200 g flour
- 7 g baking powder
- 50 g brown sugar
- 1 egg
- spices : cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg...
- nuts : hazelnuts, almonds, pistachios, grated coconut, orange peels...
Pour the honey into the hot milk.
Add the melted butter, then the flour, while stirring well.
Add the sugar, the egg and a pinch of salt.
Add the spices and nuts according your taste.
Butter a cake pan and pour the mixture in.
Bake at 180°C (360°F) for about 35 minutes.
